Obituary for Thomas J Brady

Thomas Joseph Brady, 88 of Manlius, passed away on October 10, 2015 after a long illness. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 12, 1927. Tom was a medical sales representative for General Medical out of Rochester, NY for years before retiring and driving a limousine for Ross Limo. He enjoyed meeting new people and socializing with family and friends. He loved to garden and read. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Navy.
Tom was predeceased by his mother, Etta Brady of Albany, NY, and his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Charles Connelly of Niskayuna, NY.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Ann Marie (Hancock) Brady; his loving children, Susan (Joe) Brady-Tessier, of Pulaski, Thomas J. (Lynn) Brady Jr., of Marcellus, Barb (Bob) Ryan, of Camillus, Therese Brady Smith of Ticonderoga, and Keith (Barb) Brady, of DeWitt; and his adoring grandchildren, Matthew and Emily, Max and Hanna, Ali and Cody, Sean and Aubrey, McLaren and Conal. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Peggy and Joe Heck of Florida; two special cousins, Therese Monaghan of NJ and Bill Halaby of Florida; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 pm on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 East Genesee Street, Fayetteville. Tom’s funeral Mass will be at Holy Cross Church, 4112 East Genesee Street, DeWitt on October 17th at 11 a.m., with interment at Manlius Village Cemetery.
The family offers a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the 8th floor at the VA Hospital and the 7th floor of Upstate Medical Center for their compassionate and caring ways.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter, 441 W Kirkpatrick St, Syracuse, NY 13204.
