Obituary for James J. Procopio

James J. Procopio, 65, of Kirkville, passed away on Sunday. He was a millwright at Metalico and a blacksmith at Allied Springs. James always like to help people and dared them to find things that he couldn’t fix. He enjoyed being outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing, camping or gardening and loved to play the drums. His early days were spent building several Harley Choppers and driving his Shelby Cobra. He was a true people person and became a father to more people that just his children. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary as well as his sister Frances and sister-in-law Maggie.
Survivors: his wife Lynn; two daughters, Sara and Kate; step-daughter, Jamie; sister, Rosie (Dennis); two brothers, Peter (Mary) and Joe (Janice); mother of his children, Karen; close friends, Willy Haha, Jen, Craig and Angela as well as many others, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at R. H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Road, Minoa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am Thursday at St. Mary’s Church, 401 North Main Street, Minoa.
