Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Rita Duggan can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Rita A. Duggan

Rita A. Duggan, 89, of Syracuse, passed away on Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She grew up in the Bronx and raised her family in Long Island and Rochester before settling in Syracuse. Her later years were in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Rita was predeceased by her husband William P. and sister Catherine Henrich.
She is survived by her children, Anne (William) Aaserud of Kirkville, William (Lynn Ellsworth) of New York City and Rita (William, deceased) Tomlinson of Skaneateles; six grandchildren, Parrish, William and Robert Gabor, Emmaline Ellsworth and Sarah and William Tomlinson; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 3:00 to 3:30 pm on Friday, November 27 at R. H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Road, Minoa. A Memorial Service will begin at 3:30 pm at the funeral home.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospital, 301 Prospect Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13203.
