Obituary for Kathleen N. Cranston

Kathleen N. Cranston, 66, of Pompey Center, passed away peacefully on Tuesday. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Noreen Smith. Kathy graduated from Onondaga Central School. Kathy had a great devotion to Our Lady of Fatima. She was a member of the Nedrow Drum and Bugle Corp, Junior Fire Department and the Softball Team where she played shortstop. She was also a member of the Valley Bowlerettes and the Tully Trailblazers. She enjoyed reading murder mysteries, playing with her dog Jack, archery, snowmobiling, camping and the outdoors.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Paul; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Mary Kay Venne Cranston; in-laws, Sharon Pierce and Robert (Carol) Cranston; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Thursday at Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Rd. (Rt. 92),), Manlius. The funeral Mass will be offered at Noon on Friday at St. Ann’s Church, 104 Academy St., Manlius. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in DeWitt.
