Obituary for Carole Lynn Machell

Carole Lynn  Machell
Carole Lynn Machell, 76 of East Syracuse passed away Saturday at home surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of Donald and Esther Shoemaker. Carole graduated from East Syracuse High School and later attended LeMoyne College and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing.
Carole worked with Merchants National Bank & Trust Co. and East Syracuse Minoa Central School District from 1974-1998.
She was a communicant of St. Matthews Church and she loved her cats (Cosmo Kramer & Princess Deliah Jane) and all the dogs and cats before them. She will be knocked down when she passes over Rainbow Bridge by all of her beloved animals. Carole also loved making jewelry and gave it to people all over the country. She was an avid reader and she loved making new friends on her computer.
Surviving are: her husband of 57 years David A. Machell; daughters, Melissa Beth (Robert Gerboth) Machell, of Denver, CO, Melinda Sue Ferguson of Tully, NY; son, Michael John (Denise) Machell, of Lawrence, KA; brother Ronald (Marcia) Shoemaker of E. Syracuse, NY; grandchildren, Emma L. Machell, Elizabeth G. Ferguson and Daryl Gerboth.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the R. H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Rd. Minoa. A funeral Mass will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Matthews Church, 229 West Yates St. E. Syracuse. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
