Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Nicholas Valentino can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Nicholas John Valentino

Nicholas John Valentino, 16, of Manlius, passed away on June 16, 2016. He was born October 16, 1999 in Syracuse, the son of John and Nicole (LaFluer) Valentino. Nicholas was an intelligent, passionate young man and had just completed his junior year at Fayetteville Manlius High School and was making plans for his future.
Nicholas is survived by his parents John and Nicole of Manlius; his brothers Billy, Michael and Joe; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Karen LaFluer of Liverpool; his aunts and uncles Nichelle LaFluer of Liverpool, Ann & Dennis Nave of Jamesville, Carol Ann & Giovanni Valentino of Syracuse and Susan Valentino of Syracuse; and several cousins, great aunts and uncles, all of whom will miss him dearly. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Carmen and Caroline Valentino.
Calling hours will be held at St. Ann’s Church, 104 Academy St., Manlius on Tuesday, June 21, from 4-7pm. The funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Church on Wednesday, June 22, at Noon, followed by the burial at Fayetteville Cemetery. Guests can join for refreshments after the burial at St. Ann’s Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nicholas’ name to either the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or Contact Community Services. Please make the check payable to either organization and mail to the Valentino family, 8188 Pembroke Dr., Manlius, NY 13104.
