Charles W.  Phillips
Charles “Charlie” W. Phillips, Sr., passed away at his home in Mims, Fl, on June 16th. Charlie was born on May 2, 1948 to Richard and Velma Phillips in Canastota. He worked as a truck driver, mechanic, & equipment operator over the years, most recently at Jim’s Logging and Land Clearing in Florida, and Hullar Enterprises in Fayetteville. Charlie enjoyed motorcycle riding and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife and best friend Patricia; brother Richard (Mary) Phillips; sisters Diane (Herbert) Philo, & Debbie (Milton) Duffy; 6 sons– Charles Jr. (Renee), Daren (Ann), John (Ginger), David, Robert (Becky), and William (Amber); 3 daughters– Tammie Phillips, Carrie (Doug) Cordell, and Jennifer (Jason) Dyer; 4 stepchildren– Angela (David) Nelson, Robin Gero, Jeffrey Gero, & Christine Horovitz; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Larry & Ronald.
Charlie’s family invite all who knew and loved him to join them for a celebration of his life starting at 12 noon on July 9th, 2016 at 5873 Buyea Road, Canastota, NY.
