Obituary for Carol E. Bloss

Carol E. Goodell Bloss, 72, of Kirkville, passed away after a brave and graceful struggle with pancreatic cancer. Carol was a graduate of Minoa High School and was a secretary at Minoa Elementary School, retiring after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Kirkville United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Kirkville Fire Department Auxiliary and the Onondaga Star Chapter of the Eastern Star. Carol enjoyed knitting and traveling, but her greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Raymond “Skip” Bloss; children, Sherrie (Ken) Adams and Raymond Jeffrey (Lisa) Bloss all of Kirkville; two sisters, Kathleen Foster of Davenport, FL and Sharon Anderson of Brockton, MA; eight grandchildren, Joshua (Lauryn) Adams, Megan Adams, Cody (Crystal) Bloss, Cheyann Bloss, Christopher Walsh, Hailey Jones, Ethan Jones and Sophie Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Helen Goodell.
Services will be 11:00 am Thursday at the Kirkville United Methodist Church, 8317 Poolsbrook Rd., Kirkville. Burial will be in Kirkville Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Rd., Minoa. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
