Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Marian Lamanna can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Marian Ethel Lamanna

Marian Ethel  Lamanna
Marian Ethel Lamanna, 94,  of East Syracuse passed away on November 29, 2016 in Keene, NH.
Born in Syracuse on November 11, 1922, she was the daughter of Leonard and Ethel Trouskie.
She worked for 13 years at Merchants Bank as a Wage and Salary Administrator.  Marian served as president of Elmwood Mother’s Club from 1960-1961.  She was active in Toastmasters for over 25 years and earned the Distinguished Toastmaster Award two times.   She held many Toastmasters positions including the District 65 Governor in 2000.  Marian made and donated 65 prayer shawls to Collamer Church.
Marian made many friends over the years.  Her caring heart and humor was treasured and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Frederick R. Alden; second husband, John P. Lamanna; and brother, Leonard Trouskie 
Surviving are her daughter, Janet M. Alden of Fort Myers, FL; sons, Robert J. (Jennifer) Alden of Birmingham, AL and Richard J. (Laurie) Alden of Rindge, NH;  step daughters, Susan Milana of Syracuse, NY and Linda Lamanna of Liverpool, New York; five grandchildren and two  great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Sunday, December 4th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Road, Minoa. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at the funeral home. A reception will be held at Collamer Church after the service.
