Obituary for Richard T. Gorman

Richard T.  Gorman
Richard T. Gorman, 91, of Fayetteville, formerly of Minoa died peacefully on Saturday, May 6th. He was born in Fabius and graduated from Fabius High School. He was a proud farmer, first with his family’s farm and then his own. He was business owner of G&T Supply in Liverpool for 27 years until his retirement.
He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Minoa for over 50 years and more recently of St. Ann’s Church in Manlius. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5186 where he was former Grand Knight and a former member of Kirkville Fire Department. He enjoyed years of camping with is family, fishing for Salmon at Henderson Harbor and hobby farming throughout his life. Most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marion; and siblings, Anna O’Donnell, Daniel Gorman, Marie Prindle, and Timothy Gorman.
He is survived by his brother, David Gorman; sister, Muriel O’Donnell; his children, Mary Ann (Phil) Jacobs, Patricia (Thomas) Rolfe, Theresa Gorman Hutchinson, Richard J. (Myriam) Gorman, Donna (Bill) Wells, Thomas (Melody) Gorman and Bernadette (Jeff) Richer; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Geraldine Hyatt; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 pm Friday at R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Rd., Minoa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Saturday at St. Ann's Church, 104 Academy St., Manlius. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Pompey.
Contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council 5186, 205 N. Center St., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
