Obituary for Bernard E. Race
Bernard E. Race, 87, passed into God’s heavenly kingdom on Sunday November 26, 2017.
Bernie was a self-made man who, with determination, tenacity and a lifetime of hard work, lives the American Dream and did it his own way. His passing leaves an enormous void in the lives of his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife Claire, two children Mary McCarthy and Tom Race, and Sarah Smith; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a large extended family.
As per Bernie’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
Instead, we ask you to raise a toast and a prayer in memory of this great man.
Should anyone wish to do more, donations in Bernie’s name can be made to St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, 401 N. Main St., Minoa, NY 13116.
Rest in peace, Dad. We love you.
