Anneita B.  O'Dwyer
Anneita B. O’Dwyer, 86, of East Syracuse, formerly of Oswego, passed away, Monday morning, December 4, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 21, 1931 in Eastbourne, England, she was the daughter of Gerald and Mary Caws. Anneita grew up in Sydney, attended Loreto College, and completed her education with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from SUNY Empire State College.
Anneita married John J. O’Dwyer in Sydney on May 7th, 1954. She enjoyed cooking, playing bridge, sewing and gardening.
She is predeceased by her sister, Geraldine Murray, and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Wentworth O’Dwyer.
Anneita is survived by her husband of 63 years, John; her children, John (Sally) O’Dwyer, Mary (Richard) Truhlar, Luke O’Dwyer, Anne (Thomas) Rentz, and Helen (Dennis) Doherty; nineteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Antony Caws; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 6th at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St., Fayetteville. A private entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Carmelite Monastery, C/O Sister Ancilla, 5158 Hawley Blvd, San Diego, CA 92116.
