Obituary for Charles Robert Troendle

Charles Robert  Troendle
Charles Robert Troendle, 79, of Syracuse passed away Thursday. He was born in Syracuse the son of the late Lewis and Theresa Troendle. Charles graduated from Christian Brothers Academy and later earned his Bachelors in Accounting from Syracuse University. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.

He had a long career as a CPA for Ernst & Young, and continued to provide accounting services for clients after retirement.

Charles was an avid golfer throughout his life and a member of Drumlins Country Club, serving as the Club’s president for several years.

Charles was of the Catholic faith and a supporter of many catholic causes and organizations including CBA, where he endowed a scholarship fund in his name.

He is survived by his three daughters, Theresa (Glenn) Schabes, Suzanne Wheeler, Rebecca (Gordon) Hewitt; one step-daughter, Jennifer (Eric) Bittel; eight grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Carol Byrnes-Troendle; sister Carol; son-in-law Geoffrey Wheeler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Salt Springs St. Fayetteville. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to CBA, 6245 Randall Road, Syracuse, NY 13214.
