Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Donald Baxter can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Gourmet Club

I met Don and his wife Christa as part of their Gourmet Club.  Always lovely host and hostess with great wine and food. Learning to cook and bake new items before TV food shows and the luxery of a Wegmans.  Williams in North Syracuse was our place for exotic items.  So tame by today's market choices.  Artichoke dip was new to me.  I was born in Europe as was Christa so we shared some Belgium Endive. My husband Carl Myrus knew Don from his dental pratice and both Whit and Amanda have wonderful smiles thanks to Don.  Don had invited us for weekend 'up North' more than once.  Flannel shirts and fire side talk-jokes are rembered.  We even sailed in his boat and what a treat to hear the billow of sail.  Carl had local history explained by Don since Carl as an architect was curious of local buildings.  Carl will not be at the calling hours but will enjoy the pictures of 'then' that I hope to find and share.
