Obituary for Evelin M. Hale

Evelin M. Fisher Hale of Kirkville passed away peacefully. She was born in Fayetteville, NY on August 29, 1923 to the late Charles and Lydia Nodine Fisher and was a life resident of the Syracuse area.
Before moving to Kirkville in 1969, Evelin and her husband, Floyd lived in Chittenango for 17 years. She was employed by Acme Super Markets for 35 years as a bookkeeper and cashier, retiring in 1979. She was a former member of the Fayetteville United Methodist Church and was a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary #8440 in Bridgeport since 1973 and also a life member of D.A.V. Auxiliary Chapter #30 in Syracuse.
She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Floyd, who passed away June 4, 1996; and her sisters, Sally Clough in 1986 and Vivian Klinge in 1990; and her brother, Howard Fisher, Sr. in 1991.
Survivors are her adopted sister, M. Jean Van Antwerp of Kirkville; nieces, Florence Zehr of Bridgeport; Ginny Stafford of Dayton, OH and Mary Stafford of Auburn, AL and Vicky Hier of Jamesville; nephews, Charles Fisher (Elli) of Dixon, MO, Howard Fisher of Stewart, FL and Jeff Stafford of Baldwinsville; several grandnieces and nephews; cousins, Betty Beard of Cortland and Gerald Rawson of Groton; and many friends and neighbors, including Bill and Karen Kelsey.
Family and friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 am Tuesday at the R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Rd., Minoa. The service will follow the calling hour. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery in North Manlius.
