Obituary for Mary Aileen Gridley

Mary A. Gridley, 71, of Chittenango, died peacefully Monday. She was the daughter of the late Daniel W. and Margaret M. Gridley of Salt Springs Rd., Fayetteville.
Mary was a graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School. As a young person she was an active member of Finger Lakes Feather club, an avid runner and could be seen at the local horse shows as a salty old prospector known as Cactus Joe traveling with her trusty burro Jennifer. Mary then found a new and wonderful world looking through the lens of her camera. She developed her technique in film, slide and infrared becoming an award winning member of the Syracuse Camera Club. She followed her passion until health issues made it impossible for her.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret G. Myers with husband Robert and son William and sister, Ann L. Scheuer with husband Mark.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. Services will be 9:15 am Friday at the funeral home and 10:00 am at St. Patrick’s Church, 1341 Murray Dr., Chittenango. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Fayetteville.
