Obituary for Loreen Madeline Bergin (Smith)

Loreen M. Bergin, 70, of Kirkville, entered unto rest at home surrounded by family. She was born in Manhattan, the daughter of Robert and Arline Smith. Loreen attended Rosary Hill College. Her avocation in life was as actress, singer, dancer in theater. Loreen was director of several musical theater productions.
She was a loving mother, a world traveler, avid reader, lover of history and her majesty the Queen! Above all else she loved her children.
She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Arline (Kral) Smith; daughter-in-law, Heather Hedlund. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Joseph Bergin; daughters, Kirsten Rinn, Bridget (David) Rivnack, Gwen (Thomas Higdon) Hedlund; sons, Ryan (Diana) Hedlund, Cameron Hedlund; sisters, Theresa (Bruce) Gallemore, Jennifer (Michael) Lee, Cassandra (Craig Willingham) Smith; brothers, Robert (Victoria) Smith, Stephen (Amy) Smith; grandchildren, Owen, Phoebe and Piper Rinn, Isabell Paterson, Maxwell Rivnack, Ruby and Elijah Higdon, Skylar and Quinn Hedlund, Grace and Reid Hedlund.
Calling hours will be from 11-2 p.m. Saturday at the R. H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Rd. Minoa. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
