The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jean Haley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: James Flanagan
Condolence: To Dave and the Gruenwalds:

I found Jean's obituary quite by accident. She lived a wonderful life and was one of the most enthusiastic people I've ever known. I well remember her cheering on SU basketball teams when visiting with my mother in Norwich. She loved Fayetteville, Norwich, her family and friends and our two families intertwined in many ways--through the Flanagans and Cahills and through her long connection to Chenango Lake. I send you my most sincere condolences and I believe Jean is again with John and with Marcia. I am sorry I missed Jean's service but will always remember her friendliness and kindness to me. She made the world a better place.

Condolence: David: So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She and your dad were charter members of the "Dawley Road Gang", and helped make that neighborhood a truly wonderful place to grow up. She was of course one of my mother's best friends in the world, and I have wonderful memories of Jean, Helen Goodnow, Ricky Ritchie, Sherry Shank, and my mom getting together for coffee and carrying on non-stop conversations. She will be missed.

Condolence: Please allow me to express my deepest condolences for your family's loss. I hope that you will find comfort in the real hope that the Bible gives of being reunited with your loved one again. In the Bible at John 5:28, 29 it reads, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.". The Bible there promises that your loved one will come back to life again in the resurrection. (Acts 24:15) The Bible also promises that soon death will be no more. (Revelation 21:3, 4) I encourage you to visit JW.org for more information about this wonderful hope.
