Obituary for Chester Smith

Chester L. Smith, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away at St. Josephs Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he retired from New Process Gear. He was a member of the Fayetteville and Manlius American Legion Posts and the UAW Local 624. Chet served in the Army Air Force during WWII.
Survivors: his wife of 59 years, Pearl; four daughters, Cynthia Ingles, Pamela Kerr, Elaine Monroe, and Judy Smith; three sons, Allan, Terry and Paul; one brother Fred Smith; 23 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services: 1:00 pm Friday at Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home. Burial, Fayetteville Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville.
