Caryl Lee Simonds, 84, of East Syracuse died peacefully with her family by her side. Her favorite job was being a stay at home Mom. She began her career at General Motors in 1976 and worked until the plant closed in 1994. Following her work she got to do what she loved best, spending time with her family. She was able to babysit and watch her grandchildren grow.

Her loves included her cats, reading, gardening, crocheting and quilting with her daughter-in-law, Judi.

She is survived by her children, Lennie (Judi) Simonds, Robin (Bob) Raynor, Micky (John) Simone; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Ryan (Maryum), Michael, Jamie (Miranda), Katie (Kyle) and Riley; great-grandchildren, Darby, Isabella, Fiona, Cooper, Kenzie and Ezra; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, James Pirro; and special niece, Jackie Whipple who always made her smile.

She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Laura McGregor; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and William Sohl; and sister, Betty Lou Pirro.

Family and friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 1st at the R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Rd., Minoa. The service will follow the calling hours. She will be laid to rest with her mother in Gloversville at a later date.
