Obituary for Joanne Collins
Joanne Collins, 85, of Manlius passed away Wednesday at home. She was born in White Plains, NY, the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth Lane. Joanne grew up in Syracuse and while earning her Bachelor’s Degree at Syracuse University she met her husband, Paige.
Joanne and Paige were home builders in the Syracuse area. After Paige’s passing Joanne continued to manage the properties.
Joanne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She also loved animals and their companionship.
Surviving are her son, Wynn (Christina) Collins; grandchildren, Paige Collins, Michael and Colin Griffin, Tim and Alicia Sipfle. She was predeceased by her husband Paige; daughter, Elizabeth Collins and brother, Edgar Lane.
A memorial service for Joanne will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 7386 Academy St. Pompey, NY. Calling hours will follow the service from 4-6 p.m.
Contributions in her memory may be made to Wanderer’s Rest, P.O Box 535 Canastota, NY 13032.
