The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Cynthia Coursen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

My late wife, Mimi Harrington, was the camp director at Eagle Island in the 1990s and developed a warm and wonderful relationship with Cindy via their shared love of sailing (and I suspect their shared instincts as teachers). I am sorry that I only came across news of her passing just now, and I and my sons send our heartfelt condolences to your family. As Eagle Island is once again a sailing place, I sincerely believe that some day the breezes will blow the memories of these two wonderful women together in the spirit of generous friendship, capable seamanship, and a love of the lake and all that it means.
