Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Leif Glundal can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Leif E. Glundal

Leif E. Glundal, 82 of Wellesley Island, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Thursday. He was born in Aarhus, Denmark and emigrated to Canada at the age of 18. He worked in the printing business and as a fishing guide in northern Ontario. After his marriage to Barbara L. Brown in 1962 they moved to the States and eventually to the Syracuse area. Together they owned Glundal Color Service in Auburn, moved the business, Glundal Color Inc. to East Syracuse and retired in 2002.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara L.; children, Kirk E.C. Glundal (Jeannine Gettis) and Lora Lolane Glundal; granddaughter, Brianna; brother, Per Glundal; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Jorgen and Ellen; and sister, Rosa.
Calling hours will be from 4-6 pm Thursday, December 3rd at Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Rd., Manlius. A service will follow the calling hours.
